A private job-search campaign for senior people targeting startups and scaleups.
I’m Paul Wilkin, a recruiter with 30+ years in the industry.
I help senior operators approach the startup market properly: target companies, hiring signals, relevant contacts, outreach angles and weekly priorities.
Using AI-assisted market monitoring, I scan your target market for new roles, careers-site changes, company movement and public signals, then help you decide where to act.
Not CV writing. Not career coaching. Not mass applications. Not reverse recruiting.
This is a private campaign system built around your search. I use 30+ years of recruitment experience to map startup markets, track hiring signals, identify relevant contacts and help you approach the right companies at the right time.
You stay in control of who is contacted and what is sent.
What I actually do
I build and help run the campaign infrastructure behind your senior startup search.
- define your target startup market
- map relevant startup and scaleup companies
- identify hiring signals
- monitor careers pages and ATS activity
- track company movement and timing signals
- find useful decision-makers and contacts
- discover verified emails where available
- write outreach for you to approve
- suggest LinkedIn actions for you to take manually
- track conversations and next steps
- review weekly priorities with you
In plain English: I help you stop drifting around LinkedIn and start running a proper market campaign.
Why this matters for startup roles
Senior startup jobs are not always found by sitting on LinkedIn Easy Apply with 300 other people.
The better opportunities are often buried in timing.
A company raises funding. A founder starts talking about growth. A team starts hiring around a function. A product launch creates commercial pressure. A VP leaves. A new market opens. A role appears quietly on an ATS before anyone is really talking about it.
That is where market mapping matters.
Startup and scaleup hiring is messy, fast-moving and relationship-driven. The useful work is spotting the signal, mapping the right people and deciding where to act before everyone else piles in.
That is the work I know how to do.
30+ years in recruitment.
I’ve built and sold a recruitment company, worked across the UK, Europe and US, and spent years mapping markets, finding decision-makers and approaching people before roles are obvious.
Most of my recent work has been with startups, scaleups, SaaS and AI companies.
So this is not theory.
It is recruitment market mapping and campaign thinking, rebuilt for one senior person’s search.
What you get
This is not vague advice. It is a working campaign structure.
Positioning and assets
- personal positioning
- personal homepage or landing page
- target role and market focus
- approved outreach copy
- handover pack
Market and signal tracking
- target startup/company universe
- known company watchlist
- hiring signal tracker
- ATS/company tracker
- weekly priority log
Contacts and action lists
- contact map
- verified email discovery where available
- LinkedIn action list
- outreach queue
- reply and next-action notes
Useful assets, not a black box.
At the end of the work, you keep the agreed campaign outputs created for your search. The deeper sourcing, search and campaign methodology stays with me.
How the campaign works
There are two parts: the GTM Job Engine, then Weekly Market Monitoring.
GTM Job Engine
This is the campaign infrastructure.
It gives your search structure: positioning, target companies, hiring signals, contacts, outreach copy, LinkedIn actions and tracking.
Instead of randomly applying, reconnecting with old contacts and hoping something lands, you have a focused market system.
Weekly Market Monitoring
This is where the engine gets used properly.
Each week, I help monitor your target startup market, review new signals, update priorities, map relevant contacts and suggest next actions.
I use AI-assisted workflows to scan your target market daily for useful signals, then turn the noise into a short list of things worth acting on.
AI helps watch the market. It does not pretend to be you.
I use AI-assisted workflows to scan your target market daily for useful signals.
Company and role signals
- new jobs appearing on company careers pages
- changes on ATS pages
- hiring activity
- signs a company may be building a function before a role is widely visible
Market movement
- funding announcements
- product launches
- leadership changes
- relevant company news
Public social signals
- public founder posts
- public investor posts
- public team posts
- relevant LinkedIn, X and other public signals where appropriate
The point is not to drown you in noise. The point is to spot useful timing signals and decide where to act.
That might mean: watch this company, connect with this person, comment on this post, research this founder, suppress this target, pause this company, move this contact into approved email outreach, or follow up on this conversation.
Only approved contacts move into the email outreach queue.
Your voice stays human. The market radar gets sharper.
You approve everything.
I do not apply for jobs for you.
I do not act as your agent.
I do not represent you to employers.
I do not log into your LinkedIn.
I do not automate LinkedIn.
I do not scrape LinkedIn.
I do not send random AI-generated messages in your name.
I do not guarantee interviews or offers.
I may suggest who to contact, what to say and when to act. You decide what gets sent.
That matters, because senior people should not sound desperate, automated or outsourced.
Who this is for
This is for senior people who want to move into, or move between, startup, scaleup and investor-backed companies.
Good fit
- VP Sales / Head of GTM
- Revenue leaders
- Product leaders
- Ops / Chief of Staff types
- Talent leaders
- Fractional execs
- C-suite operators
- Senior commercial leaders
- Senior operators targeting AI, SaaS, tech, startup or scaleup companies
Especially people who know they are credible, but are not getting enough of the right conversations through normal job-search channels.
Not a fit
- junior candidates
- people wanting cheap CV help
- people looking for someone to mass apply to jobs
- people expecting guaranteed interviews
- people wanting someone to act as their agent
- people who do not want to approve their own campaign activity
- people who want LinkedIn automation or fake AI networking
No awkward grey area.
Founding campaign
I am currently testing this with a very small number of founding campaigns.
Maximum 3 candidates
I only work with a small number of people at any one time, because this is hands-on work.
The first full campaign is a 3-month GTM Job Engine + Weekly Market Monitoring campaign.
Month 1: build the GTM Job Engine.
Months 2 and 3: run Weekly Market Monitoring around the campaign.
Founding campaign pricing
$2,500 per month
Paid monthly in advance.
Initial 3-month campaign.
No automatic renewal.
This founding price is deliberately lower while the workflow is tested and refined. Future campaigns are likely to be priced higher.
